The golf volunteering programme provides an exciting opportunity for anyone to get involved in golf volunteering whether it is at a school club or within the community setting.
The programme has been designed to make it as easy as possible to get involved and achieve basic standards from 10 hours (bronze award) up to 50 hours (gold award) volunteering and it is not time related and not restricted by any age limits.
The programme is open to all volunteers providing opportunities and incentives that give new and experienced volunteers alike the opportunity to get involved and meet new people whilst developing the sport of golf.
The programme is not meant to be prescriptive but gives basic guidance on how and what kind of volunteering you can become involved with. The centre pages of this booklet offer numerous volunteering opportunity ideas but you can also decide what volunteering might suit you best.
Once you have decided to get involved and made a start, simply keep a track of your 1st 10 hours of volunteering by filling in the form on page 7. Then simply complete the end section on page 8 and return to the address given. You will then receive a certificate and be registered as a golf volunteer.
If you need any further support, please contact your regional officer or the National Volunteer Manager.
