Have you been asked to volunteer at for your County Golf Partnership
There is going to be a whole host of activities being delivered to promote various opportunities within golf. The ‘Town Tour’ and ‘Beach Tour’ are just two examples where support will be needed by volunteers to make the ‘Road to the Open 2012’ project the success it poised to be. You may not be a golfer but this is not essential. If you have the skills to engage with the public and communicate with them effectively then you are the person that we are looking for. At these events we will need to have a team who can promote opportunities available in the local area and ensure that people have the opportunity to get involved.
If you want to get involved please see attached expresion of interest form.

Inspirational golf volunteers Marlan Cox and Jim Pocknell have been chosen as Olympic torchbearers and will help to carry the flame through their communities on its relay round the UK.
Jim, the chairman of the Kent Golf Partnership, will carry the torch in Deal on July 19 – his birthday. “What a birthday present!” he said. Both Jim and Marlan were nominated by Sport England after their names were put forward by the England Golf Partnership (EGP). The Partnership brings together the amateur governing body, England Golf, and the Professional Golfers’ Association to grow the game with the support of the Golf Foundation and Sport England.
